Jim Freeman generously shared his time lapse videos that he has been recording at The Hedges for the past few years. He uploaded a dozen of the 50 or more he’s taken from the “hedge line” at The Hedges on to a Google Drive folder. He offers them for you to review and perhaps share with others. For those who would like to download the images and .mov files, the folders are all sharable and he included a text file with some history and sharing instructions.
From Jim:
“Some of you may have noticed me setting up a camera on a tripod along the edge of The Hedges property overlooking the lake. I purchased an Olympus Tough TG-6 camera several years ago for its water and shockproof features, something I could toss into a boat and not worry about a fragility breakdown. Not until I had owned it for a while did I discover its Time Lapse feature. I have finally organized a handful of the results from a few years of experimenting and share a dozen of them for you to peruse.
When I first started, I recorded images every minute but later found the battery would last long enough to take photos every 30 seconds for 2 hours. It’s fascinating and amazing to see what lurks in the sky when recorded over time, especially how different layers of clouds move in different directions.
To view the time lapse videos, double click on an individual folder then double click the .MOV file. If desired, the individual pictures are available in the folder labeled “Pictures” and along with the .MOV file (you will need this to create the video), can be downloaded for you to share and savor as well.”
