Property Accessibility Statement
Our property is listed on the historic registry or was built prior to 1992. We have not worked with an accessibility expert to identify which ADA features we are required to provide, nor have we filed a report with the state.
Accessible Features
Parking & Loading Zone
There are a number of ADA parking spaces with level surfaces and no curbs and with ramps for wheelchairs and/or walkers. There are reserved parking spaces closest to the entrances of all ADA rooms.
Exterior Routes
All routes used by persons with disabilities are accessible and will allow them to use wheelchairs or other mobility aids to approach, enter and use our facilities.
Building & Lobby Entrances
The Hedges on Blue Mountain Lake office/lobby features a ramp with appropriate incline for the ADA entrance with a doorway that opens in the proper direction and width for wheelchair access with accessible knobs. The interior space is an open, single-level floorplan without unavoidable obstruction.
Interior Routes
All accessible buildings have open floorplans and are fully accessible for wheelchairs with ramps, doors with appropriate openings, knobs and ease of opening, without unavoidable obstructions.
Public & Common Use Restrooms
The Hedges on Blue Mountain Lake does not provide public restrooms, all restrooms are only for guests. All ADA accessible facilities have restrooms with required clearances and grab bars in appropriate locations.
Interior Signs
Signs are in place as described for all accessible spaces and are mounted on the wall of guest rooms, the dining room, gift shop, and all fire exits.
Food Service Areas
Food service areas are clearly marked and have appropriate entrance widths, ramps and interior accessibility without obstructions.
Accessible Rooms
The Pioneer Suite
It has a same-level parking area adjacent to the entrance door which is adequately sized for wheelchair access and has appropriate knob and swing. The parking area has adequate clearances, and the room includes an entrance ramp, open floorplan with adequate clearances and a bathroom with accommodations to make it ADA compliant.
Cabin 6
This has a handicap parking space clearly labeled adjacent to the ramp and the entrance doorway which is adequately sized for wheelchair access and has appropriate knob and swing. It also has complete bathroom ADA compliance.
JRC
This has adjacent parking with adequate clearance next to the entrance ramp and complete bathroom compliance.

The Hedges is committed to making our website accessible to people with disabilities.
We have designed our website to be accessible for impaired users to see, navigate, interact and understand the content provided as per the World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA).
We have tested the functionality of this website with the Google Chrome Accessibility Audit tool. We have also manually tested keyboard-only functionality so that people who use screen readers or can't use a mouse are able to navigate through the website pages efficiently.
