The Moose Lodge

The Moose Lodge was originally the kitchen for the Duryea Camp and later served as the resort’s main office. It has since been completely remodeled into two separate adults-only units, the Moose Suite and the Pioneer Lodge, each offering a private, comfortable retreat with its own Adirondack character.

The Moose Suite features two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, along with a private sitting room, making it a great fit for groups traveling together or anyone who wants extra space to spread out. One of our accessible units, The Pioneer Lodge offers a single king bedroom with air conditioning and an accessible layout, ideal for guests who want a quiet, private stay without stairs to navigate.

Both units share a comfortable common area, along with easy access to the Birch Room, a favorite spot on the property for games and puzzles on a rainy afternoon or after dinner. Tucked into its own corner of camp, The Moose Lodge offers a peaceful retreat that still keeps you close to the rest of The Hedges, from the dining room to the lake, while giving you a private space to call your own during your stay.
